There are fears for over 100 Irish jobs at the sports retailer JJB Sports after its parent company went into administration.
A provisional liquidator has been appointed to find a buyer for the Irish assets of the UK retailer.
These include stores and gyms in Dundalk, Limerick and Dublin.
Overall it comprises of 4 retail stores and 2 gyms.
The Irish operations of the company employ 102 people.
They will remain open on a “business as usual” basis.
The liquidator – Kieran Wallace of KPMG – will move to sell the business and assets of JJB Sports in Ireland as a going concern.
The British sports goods retailer went into administration in the UK this morning.
