Its been almost four years since the critically acclaimed The Haunted Man, and now, after months of teasing, Bat For Lashes is telling us when we can expect the next album.

The Bride will be released on July 1st, and will tie into I Do, the short film written and directed by Natasha Khan, which follows the story of a woman whose fiancé has been killed in a crash on the way to the church for their wedding. The Bride flees the scene to take the honeymoon trip alone, resulting in a dark meditation on love, loss, grief, and celebration. 

To celebrate the announcement, Khan released a new track from the album, "In God's House", which you can listen to below. It follows on from previous single "I Do" (not to be confused with the short film mentioned above), which was released in February.
