A London ticket barrier has become an unlikely star after commuters noticed it sounded similar to a Blur song.

The barrier's 'Woo-hoo' sound has been mashed up with the hit 'Song 2' in a YouTube clip that has quickly racked up more than 170,000 hits.

The star of the show is at the Canary Wharf Underground station in the British capital.

The Underground system carries 1,229 million passengers every year.

Blur also saw the funny side, tweeting that they were laughing at it too.
