A glass floor has been added to the top of Tower Bridge in London, offering a view of the 138ft drop.

Some €1.27m has been spent on the two walkways - one of which has already been finished.

They will allow some of the 600,000 annual visitors to watch the bridge opening below their feet above the River Thames.

The glass floor measures 11.5 metres long and 1.8 metres wide and is made up of panels weighing 500 kilograms each.

And if you'd rather not look down, the walkways also offer panoramic views of the British capital.

The east walkway is due to open on December 1st.
