A Stradivarius violin worth several million euro has been handed in at a Swiss lost-property office after a musician left it behind him on a train.

Police launched an appeal for help after another passenger was spotted on security cameras leaving the train with the violin.

The priceless instrument was later handed in to the lost-property office at Bern train station.
