Cash-strapped Spaniards have been queuing up to buy tickets for what's billed as the world's richest lottery.

Known as "El Gordo" - The Fat One - the total prize pool is over €2.5 billion.

The draw is set to take place later today.

Many players say they are hoping to win so they can pay off debt or help relatives facing big bills.
