A Lotto player in County Limerick has become Ireland’s first Lotto jackpot winner of the year, having scooped the €11,106,438 in Wednesday night’s draw.
The National Lottery is urging Lotto players in Limerick to check their tickets to see if they are the winner of the life-changing sum.
The winning numbers for Wednesday’s draw were 18, 29, 36, 38, 40, 43 and the bonus was 30.
The National Lottery will reveal the winning store at a celebratory event in Co. Limerick tomorrow morning.
In total, over 82,000 players won prizes in the Lotto and Lotto Plus draws last night.
A National Lottery spokesperson said: “This is an absolutely dream start to 2023 for one of our players in Co. Limerick. In the past 12 months, we have seen an incredible 19 millionaires made in the Lotto game alone but this is certainly one of the biggest!"
"We are appealing to all our players to check their tickets carefully and if you are the winner, sign the back of the ticket and contact our prize claims team as soon as possible.”
The Limerick winner should contact the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to claim their prize.
