Voter turnout is still reported to be low across the country this evening, with some places reporting figures as low as 2 per cent in some areas.
More then 3.1 million people are eligible to vote in the Children Referendum.
Polling stations have been open since 9 o"clock this morning and will remain open until 10 o"clock tonight.
