Revenue detector dog Luca has collared a man trying to bring drugs worth nearly €60,000 through Dublin Airport.

Luca sniffed out the 2.5kgs of herbal cannabis in a 27-year-old UK man’s checked baggage ahead of his flight to Barcelona yesterday.

Revenue said the haul has an estimated street value of over €57,000.

A Garda investigation is now underway.

Revenue is urging anyone with any information about illegal drug smuggling to come forward.
