The Independent TD Luke 'Ming' Flanagan claims his children are "being teased" because the Ceann Comhairle is commenting on the way he dresses in the Dáil.
The Roscommon-South Leitrim TD had a row with Seán Barrett that led to the suspension of the Dáil.
The Ceann Comhairle wants to introduce new rules to smarten up the Dail chamber with tailored shirts instead of t-shirts, and a ban on denims.
Deputy Flanagan says the Ceann Comhairle should not be commenting to the media about the way he dresses.
Following the suspension the Ceann Comhairle denied he had made any reference to Deputy Flanagan.
Mr. Flannagan explained what had happened to Lunchtime here on Newstalk.
