The EU is being asked to apply pressure on Egypt to secure the release of Ibrahim Halawa.
The 19-year-old has been held without trial since 2013, after being arrested during protests.
His trial has been deferred a number of times and is now due to take place next month.

Sinn Fein's Lynn Boylan is asking MEPs to sign a petition calling for Ibrahim's Freedom, which she'll then send to the EU Commission.
She says he needs to be moved immediately from his current prison, which she claims, is one of the most dangerous in Egypt:
