Three men have been arrested following a car chase on Dublin's M50 this morning.

Gardaí said the men were arrested by officers investigating the theft of a car in the Drimnagh area last week.

The car was spotted in the Leixlip area in the early hours of this morning; however, the driver failed to stop for Gardaí.

A number of Garda units were then involved in the chase as the car made its way on to the M50.

It was eventually intercepted in the south west Dublin area.

Three men, two in their late teens and one in his early 20s, were arrested and brought to Ronanstown Garda Station.

All three are expected to appear before Blanchardstown district Court this morning.
