All lanes have reopened on the M50 northbound after a fatal collision saw the road closed for several hours.
Shortly after 10.15am, Gardaí were called out to the Northbound side of the road near the Blanchardstown exit.
Upon arrival, a motorcyclist in his 40s was pronounced dead and the driver of a lorry in his 50s was sent to hospital for a medical assessment.
The motorway was closed as Garda Forensic Collision Investigators carried out an inspection.
Any witnesses have been asked to get in touch with An Garda Síochána.
Traffic delays
Transport Infrastructure Ireland Director of Communications Seán O'Neill said the M50 is difficult to re-route traffic from.
“Unfortunately, this particular section is the one section between the M2 and the M4 does not have a diversionary route,” he said.
“So, we have to seek a multitude of different diversionary routes around that; the Gardaí do their best to mitigate that but because of its location… this is a particularly troublesome spot to say the least.”
