The Vice President of the European Parliament says the rules around attendance in the parliament need to be examined.
Mairead McGuinness was speaking after the results of a Vote Watch Europe report that found that the voting record of Irish MEPs was poor.
It was partly caused by absences of both Brian Crowley and Luke Ming Flanagan, who have cited various health and personal reasons.
