The Emergency Department at Letterkenny General Hospital remains closed and patients are being diverted to Sligo and Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry following severe flooding on Friday evening.
Heavy rain caused a stream at the back of the hospital to overflow its banks as up to a metre of water gushed through the doors of the emergency unit.
The Health Service Executive (HSE) says a Contingency Management Team is in plan and regular updates will be issued on an ongoing basis. Elective inpatient, day case surgery and endoscopy planned to take place this week will be rescheduled.

Emergency admissions will continue to be diverted to Sligo and Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry.
Some clinics and services have been relocated to other hospitals in county and the HSE says all patients concerned are being contacted individually. The hospital is also closed to visitors.
The HSE says this is to avoid risk of contamination and the spread of infection.
