Ten men are being questioned in Cork this morning after a major operation targeting organised crime in the county yesterday.
The arrested man range in age from their mid-20s to their mid-50s.
GardaĆ say they are being held under organised crime legislation.
Reports this morning suggest the Garda operation is focused on what they believe was an aborted drugs delivery off the coast of Cork yesterday.
Investigators have also seized a number of vehicles, which are due to be forensically examined late today.
GardaĆ can question the men for a maximum of seven to ten days before charge or release; however, they will have to ask the courts for an extension if they wish to hold them for the maximum period of time.
