A major search operation targeting organised crime gangs in Coolock and Raheny in North Dublin is currently underway.

39 properties were targeted this morning as part of investigations into criminal gangs operating nationwide.

Over 150 Gardaí across multiple divisions are involved in the operation.

The gangs targeted by Gardaí are suspected of being involved in crimes including burglary, drug trafficking, counterfeiting, theft and other property crimes.

The operation remains ongoing.
