A man has died in a single-vehicle crash in Wicklow in the early hours of this morning.
Gardaí said the crash occurred at approximately 1am today, August 19th, at Ballinacarrig, Lower Rathdrum.
The passenger of the car, a man in his mid-20s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has been taken to Loughlinstown for a post-mortem examination.
The driver of the car, a man in his late teens, has been taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in Dublin for injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
The road at Ballinacarrig remains closed for technical examination. Local diversions are in place.
