Investigations are underway in Co. Tipperary after a motorcyclist was killed in a crash.

The man (34) died when a motorbike and car collided at Boulick, Gorthnahoe, Thurles at 10 O'clock last night.

His remains were taken to Waterford Regional Hospital, where a post mortem examination will take place later today.

The female driver of the car was uninjured.

The road is closed to for technical examination and gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
