A postmortem is due to be carried out on a man who died in a fatal road crash in County Clare yesterday.
The man in his 40s died when the car he was driving collided with a barrier on the Ennis Bypass shortly after 12.30pm.
He was taken to University Hospital Limerick, where he was later declared dead.
It's believed he was suffering from a medical issue when the crash occurred.
The coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination will take place.
Gardaí are investigating circumstances surrounding the crash while the N85 has since reopened.
This was the second crash to happen on the June Bank Holiday.
A car with five young men in their teens was involved in a single-vehicle collision in County Mayo.
It happened on the N5 at Deerpark near Swinford shortly before 4am.
They were rushed from the scene by ambulance to Mayo University Hospital, where one teenager remains in critical condition.
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to either crash to come forward, particularly those with dash-cam footage who were in the area at the time.
