A man in his 70s has died following a crash in Co Cork in the early hours of this morning.
It happened shortly after 12:15am in the Taur area of Newmarket, when his car crashed into a ditch.
The man - who was the only person in the car - was pronounced dead at the scene.

His body has been removed to Cork University Hospital for a post mortem examination.
The scene of the crash remains closed this morning, with a forensic exam to be carried out.
Gardaí have appealed to anyone who may have information to contact them, in particular any road users who may have travelled through the area between 12:10am and 12:30am.
