A Dublin man accused of carrying a sword into the grounds of Leinster House will have to wait to find out how his case will be dealt with.
Jordan Buckley of Kells Road, Crumlin was arrested in the front yard of the building after allegedly making his way past the plinth with the blade.
He is accused of being armed with a sword in the front yard of Leinster House on April 29th.
On that date, it is alleged that he somehow made his way past the plinth with the blade at around 4:30pm before being tackled by gardai.
It is not yet known how he will plea but on conviction - possession of a sword in a public place carries a maximum sentence of five years behind bars.
Mr. Buckley was due to find out today how the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) wishes to deal with his case but the court heard there was a delay and the matter has been put back until September.
He was remanded on bail until then and has previously been instructed to stay away from all government buildings and departments - except for social welfare - until these proceedings are complete.
