The man accused of murdering 27-year-old Daena Walsh at their home in Midleton has been further remanded in custody.
Twenty-nine-year-old Adam Corcoran of John Barry House, Midleton, County Cork, appeared at Mallow District Court via video link today.
Mr Corcoran was arrested on Friday and charged with the murder of his partner and mother-of-two, Daena Walsh, on Sunday.
He appeared in person at a special sitting of Mallow District Court that day and was remanded in custody.
Remanded
Inspector Tony O’Sullivan told today’s sitting that the state is requesting a two-week remand.
Judge Marie Keane remanded Adam Corcoran - who spoke only to confirm he could see and hear the court - in custody until the 20th of August for DPP directions.
Daena Walsh was pronounced dead at her apartment at John Barry House on Main Street in Midleton on Friday.
It’s understood she suffered several stab wounds.
