An unemployed man has been accused of operating a "drugs factory" from his home in Dublin.
Darren Raymond (44) of Lough Conn Terrace in Ballyfermot was arrested on Friday after gardaí found more than €500,000 worth of cannabis and cocaine at his house.
His home was raided by officers from the Drug Unit at Tallaght garda station as part of an on-going operation to tackle drug dealing in the area.
Inside, they found large amounts of cocaine and cannabis.
A cocaine press and mixing agents were also seized and the house was described as a "drugs factory" in court today. Raymond was arrested and more drugs were found during a follow up search at another location in Tallaght.
The haul is still being analysed but it is estimated the drugs have a street value of over €500,000.
Raymond is facing several drug dealing charges and he was told he could be facing even more charges.
For now, he was remanded in custody on these charges but he has been given consent to bail if he lodges €5,000 into court.
He is due before Cloverhill District Court again tomorrow morning.
