The man accused of killing 12-year-old Tia Sharp in south London has appeared via videolink at the Old Bailey.

Stuart Hazell is the 37-year-old partner of Tia’s grandmother.

No application was made for bail.

He is due to reappear in court on November 19th when he will return for a plea and case management hearing.

He appeared via video-link from Belmarsh Prison wearing an orange T-shirt and sitting next to a prison officer.
