Man allegedly using passports in names of dead babies is identified in court

A mystery man who has been charged with allegedly using passports in the names of two dead babies has been positively identified in court.

Cork District Court heard the man has been identified as 72-year-old Randolph Parker, who has an FBI arrest record from 1970.

Mr Parker's date of birth has been confirmed as March 7th 1951 and he is a US national.

No further details were given as to his personal circumstances.

His solicitor Frank Buttimer said that his client acknowledges that his correct name is Randolph Kirk Parker and is the named person who had previously been called Philip Morris in court.

Mr Parker has been further remanded in custody until December 5th next in order to allow the Garda investigation to be completed.
