Gardaí investigating a fatal shooting in Finglas in Dublin last night have made a further arrest. A man aged in his 20s was detained this morning.
It brings to three the number of people detained in connection with this killing.
The victim has been named locally as Edward O'Connor (41). He was shot on the Ballycoolin Road in Finglas at around 5pm yesterday evening.
Gardaí earlier arrested a man and a woman in connection with the gun attack which happened close to a scrapyard.
The victim was taken to James Connolly Memorial Hospital in Blanchardstown where he was pronounced dead.
A full post mortem will be carried out today. The scene of the shooting, from the Premier Business Park to the Cappagh Road, remains sealed off for a technical examination.
Investigating officers are calling for anyone who may have seen the shooting or knows anything about it to come forward.
