A man has appeared before Dún Laoghaire District Court charged with murdering a woman and two children in south Dublin last month.
There was no application for bail today because that can only be heard by a High Court judge.
The man was arrested over the weekend and is facing three charges of murder.
During his brief court appearance on Monday morning, Judge Anne Watkin was told he did not say anything to Gardaí when the charges were put to him.
The bodies of a woman and two children were found in a house in south Dublin last month.
The journalists in attendance were reminded of Section 252 of the Children's Act - which prohibits the identification of child victims.
Last month, the Court of Appeal ruled that the protection includes child victims who are deceased.
Sergeant John White said it would apply here because two of the injured parties were juveniles.
The man was remanded in custody to appear before a court again on Thursday.
