A 51-year-old man has appeared in court in relation to a €9.6m drugs seizure in Dublin last Friday.
Andrew Pender of Ely Green in Tallaght faces 14 charges in total and has been remanded in custody.
Mr Pender faced 11 drugs-related charges, two counts of money laundering and one of handling stolen property as he appeared before Blanchardstown District Court this morning.
Under caution, he replied "not guilty" after 12 of the 14 charges were read out to him, and made no reply to the other two.
He was arrested on Friday after Gardaí stopped him in the car he was driving, which was also occupied by his son.
During searches Gardaí then uncovered 2kgs of cocaine and a sum of cash.
Searches were then carried out at a property in the Woodfield, Ballymacarney area of The Ward.
Cannabis, cocaine, MDMA, LSD and ketamine was discovered in a container there, along with a suspected stolen Garda uniform which was found in a barrel.
In total, the drugs amounted to €9.6m, while nearly €2m in cash was also seized.
Of the cash, €1.096m was found in a Mercedes van alleged to have been used by Mr Pender.
He was refused bail by Judge David McHugh.
He has been remanded in custody and will appear before Cloverhill District Court again on Friday.
