A 21-year-old man has been arrested after an armed raid on a pub in Drogheda.

It happened at about 8.15pm yesterday when two men, armed with a knife and shotgun, entered the premises on Marsh Street and held-up staff.

A customer and a member of staff suffered minor injuries and were treated in hospital.

One of the suspects managed to escape the scene, while a second was arrested in the pub.

He's being held at Drogheda Garda Station.
