A man has been arrested after attacking people with a sword in the Hainault area of north London, police have said.
Police and emergency services were called to 'a serious incident' just before 7am in the area, in which a man with a sword was arrested.
"We do not believe there is any ongoing threat to the wider community - this incident does not appear to be terror-related", the Metropolitan Police said.
A 36-year-old man had crashed a vehicle into a house in before reportedly stabbing a number of people and police officers.
The condition of the people attacked is not yet known.
Hainault attack
Hainault Underground station has been closed by police after the incident.
Police Deputy Assistant Commissioner Ade Adelekan said: "This must have been a terrifying incident for those concerned.
"I know the wider community will be feeling shock and alarm.
"People will want to know what has happened and will we provide more information as soon as we can."
Fire and rescue crews as well as a number of ambulances were also dispatched to the scene.
