A man aged in his 40s has been arrested following the theft of a car in Dublin with a baby and a nine-year-old child inside.
It happened in Cabra on Sunday, after the owners briefly left it unattended with the engine running outside their home.
The nine-year-old managed to jump out of the car before the thief sped off - however, a young baby was still strapped into the back seat.
The infant was left uninjured on the side of a road afterwards.
Earlier a Garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí are investigating the unauthorised taking of a vehicle that occurred on St Attracta Road, Dublin 7, shortly after 7pm on Sunday.
"An infant passenger that was in the vehicle at the time was found shortly after uninjured."
