A man is being questioned after the discovery of a body in County Kildare.
Gardaí were alerted yesterday after the man's body was found at a house in Naas.
The discovery was made at around 1:30pm at a house in Eustace Demesne. The man's body has since been removed to the mortuary at Naas General Hospital.
The Office of the State Pathologist has been notified and a post-mortem examination is expected to take place this afternoon.
A man aged in his 40s has been arrested as part of the investigation.
He is being detained at a Garda station in Kildare under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
Gardaí say the results of the post-mortem will determine the course of their investigation which is investigating "all the circumstances surrounding the discovery".
