€280,000 worth of cannabis plants have been seized by Gardaí in Co. Offaly.

Gardaí from Tullamore discovered a grow house operation when they searched a property in Geashill today.

A man in his 30s has been arrested.

He is currently being detained under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act at Tullamore Garda Station.

Gardaí say this is part of an on-going investigation involving Gardai from Tullamore and the Garda National Drugs Unit.
