A man has been arrested following a stand-off in Coolock in Dublin overnight.
At around 2.30am gardaí were called to the Greencastle Road, where a man in his 20s threatened both officers and locals at gunpoint.
A gun did go off, but it was gardaí who fired the shot, and nobody was injured.
