A man has been arrested in connection with the death of another man in Co Tipperary.
The body of a man aged in his 30s was found at a house close to the village of Kilcross in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The arrested man, who is aged in his 20s, was detained on Thursday evening and is being questioned at a Garda station in the Munster region.
He is being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
Gardaí have said investigations are ongoing.
A post mortem was carried out on the deceased man's remains yesterday. He is understood to have suffered a violent death.
The man was from Eastern Europe and had been living and working in Ireland for several years.
It is understood he was living in the rented house with several other people and was attending a party in the house on St Stephen's Day.
Investigators are appealing to anyone who knows anything about the death to get in contact with them.
