A man has been arrested after a fatal crash in Donegal.

The two-vehicle crash happened on Sunday at Inver shortly after 9am.

A woman in her 80s was taken to Sligo University Hospital in serious condition and died from her injuries earlier today.

A man in his 50s and a woman in her 40s were also taken to Letterkenny University Hospital after the crash, with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.

Gardaí have now confirmed that a man in his 50s has been arrested and charged as part of their investigation into the crash.

He is due to appear before Letterkenny District Court on Thursday, August 29th, at 10.30am.
