A man has been arrested after a gun and 10 rounds of ammunition were seized in County Louth.
As part of an ongoing investigations targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the Louth/Cavan/Monaghan division, Gardaí attached to the Divisional Drugs Unit searched a house in Drogheda, County Louth this afternoon.
During the search, a semi-automatic firearm and 10 rounds of ammunition were discovered and seized by Gardaí.
A small amount of drugs and drug paraphernalia were also seized at the house.
A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene and is being held at a Garda Station in the North Western Region.
The gun has been forwarded for a technical examination by the Ballistics Section of the Garda Technical Bureau.
