Police in the North have arrested a man (31) on suspicion of the attempted murder of a woman in Co Down.
The woman was seriously assaulted in the Mourne View Park area of Newry this afternoon.
She has been taken to hospital for treatment to her injuries.

Chief inspector Davy Beck said: "The woman has been taken to hospital for treatment to her injuries which are not believed to be life threatening. The man is currently assisting police with their enquiries".
