A woman has been found dead at a house in Wexford.

The woman, aged in her 30s, was found unresponsive in the early hours of this morning.

Gardaí and emergency services were called to a home in the Baile Eoghain area of Gorey where the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

A man in his 30s has been arrested and is currently being held at a Garda station in the Eastern Region.

The scene has been preserved and the State pathologist has been notified.

Gardaí are appealing to witnesses to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
