A man was arrested at Dublin Airport last night in connection to a fatal assault in Kerry last year.
The man, aged in his 50s, will appear a special sitting of Kenmare District Court at 3pm this afternoon.
Gardaí arrested the man at the airport after he was extradited from England, where he had been arrested on foot of a Trade and Co-Operation Agreement arrest warrant.
The fatal assault took place in Abbey Court, Tralee, on May 22nd, 2022. The victim, a man also aged in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A man aged in his 30s was previously arrested in connection to the death but was released without charge.
Another man, aged in his 50s, was also arrested at the time.
