A man has been arrested after drugs and cash were seized in Dublin city.

It was part of an intelligence led operation targeting the supply of controlled drugs in the region.

Gardaí attached to the Special Crime Taskforce and the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau carried out a search of a house in Dublin 1 on Sunday.

Around €175,000 in cash, cocaine and cannabis - with an estimated street value of €100,000 - was seized during the search.

A 35-year-old man was arrested and is currently detained at Mountjoy Garda station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act.
