A man has been released on bail after being questioned by detectives investigating the murder of Jonathan Cairns in Derry nearly 21 years ago.
The 18-year-old was found in a shallow grave in Loughermore Forest.
It is believed he was attacked on his way home from a night out on April 25th 1999.
This morning police arrested a 50-year-old man. He was questioned throughout the day and was released on bail this evening.
Meanwhile, police are preparing to submit a file to Northern Ireland’s Public Prosecution Service on a 44-year-old woman who was arrested and released last November.
The prosecutor will decide whether to charge her with perverting the course of justice and withholding information regarding Mr Cairns’ death.
