A man has been arrested and drugs seized as part of a Garda operation in Cork.
It is the result of a recent surveillance carried out by the Cork City Divisional Drugs Unit at a wooded area at Cullenagh in Fermoy.
Officers were monitoring the area when they saw a man arrive at the location on Saturday at around 6:40pm.
The man collected a quantity of suspected cocaine, before being subsequently stopped by Gardaí.
A number of plastic boxes were taken from this location, which were found to contain suspected cocaine with an estimated value of €125,000.
The man, aged in his early 20s, was arrested at the scene.
He is currently being detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act at Fermoy Garda station.
Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
