A man has been arrested after Gardaí seized cannabis in Co Dublin.

The drugs were found in Lucan on Friday.

Gardaí attached to Lucan and Ronanstown Garda station executed a search warrant at a house in Esker Lodge.

During the course of the search they seized 1.5kg of cannabis with an estimated street value of €31,000.

A man, aged in his early 20s, was arrested at the scene.

He was taken to Ronanstown Garda station and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

He has since been released from custody and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
