A man arrested in connection with the seizure of drugs worth over €350,000 in Cork city is due in court tomorrow.
Gardaí arrested the man, aged in his 30s, after around €350,000 of heroin and €2,000 of cocaine was found in the city yesterday.
The man was arrested on St Patricks Street shortly before 9pm.
A total of 2.5 kilos of suspected heroin, which was split into a number of bags, and the suspected cocaine has been sent for analysis.
The man was taken to the Bridewell Garda station and was questioned under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act.
He is due before Cork City District Court tomorrow at 10:30am.
Speaking at Anglesea Street Garda station, Superintendent Michael Comyns said: "This is a significant seizure by our drugs unit here in Cork city.
"Drugs have such a negative impact on so many lives and have no place in our communities."
