A man has been arrested in Dublin following the seizure of a quantity of drugs and a firearm.

At around 6.30pm this evening Gardaí in Tallaght searched a car in the Jobstown area and discovered a sawn-off shot-gun and ammunition along with heroin and cannabis with a combined street value of 200,000 euro.

The man in his mid-thirties was arrested at the scene and is being held at Tallaght Garda Station under section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
