A man in his 40s has been arrested in connection with the murder investigation of Kenneth Fetherston. 

Gardaí searched a home in the midlands before arresting the man on suspicion of murder. 

The man is currently being detained in a Garda station in the east region. 

26-year-old father of one Mr Fetherston disappeared from Tallaght in September 2009. 

His remains were found in Rathfarnham in January 2010, upgrading the investigation to a murder inquiry. 

No one was charged with the murder, but a cold case inquiry was opened in 2020.
