A man has been arrested in connection with investigations into child cruelty and unlawful medical practices. 

The investigation focused on the Blanchardstown area of Dublin. 

The man was arrested on July 30th under section four of the Criminal Justice Act 1984. 

He has been charged with offences to the Medical Practitioners Act 2007.

He will appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice later today.
