A man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in the capital lastnight.
A 35 year old man was dropped off at St James' Hospital with gunshot wounds at around 7pm yesterday evening - he died shortly afterwards from his injuries.
The victim who's from the South Inner City has a number of previous convictions for robberies and burglary
Gardai say it's not known where the shooting occurred, but then car used to take the man to hospital has been located on Cork Street.
A man in his late 20's has been arrested in connection with the incident and is being detained at Kevin Street Garda station.
